The Ancient Art of Divination

Tarot is a form of divination known as cartomancy. All that means is that the cards are used as a conduit for the readers psychic energy. This style of divination dates back to approximately 500 years ago, but there are ancestral roots taking it back to roughly 2000 years ago!

There is a plethora of different tarot decks out there these days, and they all vary on theme, design and number of cards. A classic tarot deck has 78 cards which are divided into the major arcana and the minor arcana. The major arcana has 22 cards whist the minor arcana has 56. The minor arcana is split further into 4 suits, traditionally known as wands, cups, swords & pentacles. Each suit consists of 14 cards that are either numbered or represent people at a royal court, King, Queen etc.  

Channelling is (for me anyway) the ability the embody Goddess, God, or other divine energies and communicate their words, movements and thoughts out through me.

When I am channelling for myself, I will usually channel the Goddess of Cornwall, Ker. For your message though, any God or Goddess may come through, how exciting! I always ensure that they are exactly who they say they are, and if there is any doubt in my mind then I do not channel that particular energy. 

Most of the time I will channel with spoken words, but in the past it has been songs/chanting/toning, poetry, movement and art! So, however your chosen spirit energy chooses to communicate through me, you will receive it all in a PDF document, and potentially a personal video if it is song or movement. 

The Ogham was a form of alphabet for the Celts. Each symbol had connections with one of their sacred trees, such as hawthorn and even willow! 

Nowadays, we use these ancient symbols to divine answers to our burning questions. When an Ogham reading takes place, some of the marked wood is scattered, or cast, then the adventure of interpreting them and their story starts. 

Runes, much like the Ogham, were part of the Nordic alphabet. Over time the runic alphabet has changed, so there re now varying forms out there, just as there are many different tarot decks. I use the Elder Futhark for my readings, which is as close to the original runes as we know them today. 

The I Ching began in China some two and a half millennia ago, during the Western Zhou Period. It was refined and developed over the next few hundred years until it became what it is today. It is often referred to in English as, 'The Book of Changes'. An apt title for something that offers to help with the hard decisions if life. 

It is important to appreciate however that the I Ching does not tell you what to do. It cannot provide a yes/no answer to your question. What it does is to take the settings that you have chosen (see below)  and apply the many relevant ancient wisdom's to the circumstances relative to your question.It enriches your decision making with a deep, probing and varied amount of 'room for thought'. 

The actual I Ching  comprises six horizontal lines which nay be broken lines or whole. These six lines can be made into 64 different hexagrams (Groups of six) and, depending on your choices, may even change into other hexagrams which provide yet more suggested ways to help you decide. 

Reading and interpreting the hexagrams takes a deal of experience, time and application. The explanations are around 2000 plus years old and rooted in the early Chinese philosophies. Confucius was a devotee. Should you be concerned that this may possibly take you somewhere you would rather not go, do not worry. All you will expected to do is to outline a question, together with some brief details where suitable,  Example - question -  Should I take my 12 year old son to live with his father so we can all be together ? Relevant information - Son is an above average student and loves his school, I would have to sell my house and pay half the rent of his father's home). 

There are no limits to the context of the question, but the way you phrase it and what you are looking matter the most.

Yes and no questions dont work when it comes to this type of divination, as my chosen methods like to dive deep into your life and look at the problem as a sum of the whole, as it were, Don't worry too much about how you phrase your chosen question, I can always tweak it, with your permission, so that it makes more sense for the reading.

Divination does not necessarily give you a quick fix to the issue, although daily cards are a wonderful way to see where your focus for the day should be. When it comes to full readings from me (which are the only kind I currently charge for) they will not give you an option A or option B sort of answer, they will give you all the information that you need in order for you to make an informed decision as a sovereign being.
